The story behind the shoot

This client came to me because she wanted a boudoir photography session as an anniversary gift for her partner. She wanted a meaningful gift to share with her husband and they could treasure the images from an important time in their life when they felt connected as a couple.

Location of the boudoir shoot

This shoot happened at Dana Marshall’s boudoir phtoography studio, located in Easton MA (between Boston MA and Providence RI).

Props & clothes

For this shoot, the client wanted to wear bright emerald green matching bra & panties set with racy but sensual lace details and she sure looked great in it all!

For Dana less props the better, she likes to focus on the client rather than what is around her. She used props such as a pink couch, blue chaise lounge, a bed and a simple stool! All that was needed for the most perfect shoot!

Hair & Makeup

As part of the BASIC BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY package , the client’s hair and makeup was done professionally for them at the studio on the day of the boudoir photography shoot (Make up by Eleni). Ahead of time, the client shared inspiration images and got the exact look that she wanted – including fake lashes, smokey eye, bright cheeks, etc

Photography style

The client wanted a traditional, sensual boudoir phtography shoot that had color photos that would work in both digital and phyical (printed) format. She wanted closeups of her face, body, details of lingerie, etc. so that’s exactly what we did!

Poses

Dana helped the client pose, find spaces to get comfortable for the shots (on the couch, on the floor, up against the wall, standing by the window, etc.).
