What is a Dana Marshall Photography boudoir shoot really like?

Boudoir

So many women are intrigued by the idea of having a boudoir session but are not sure  of what the experience is actually like.

I believe it is something that every woman should do at least once in her life because I see the women who book boudoir photography so positively transformed by the experience.

There are many reasons to have a boudoir session done. You can find all of that and more on my previous blog post, called Why book a boudoir session

Whatever the reason behind booking the boudoir shoot the experience should be the same.  I want it to be a day dedicated to YOU, a day of being spoilt, pampered and celebrated. A day that is fun, liberating and one that will stay with you for a very long time.

The environment or location where the boudoir shoot takes place is very important and has a big influence on the final feel of the images which is why I love shooting at my studio in Easton.   I want my work to look like luxury boudoir photography: stylish, editorial, beautiful and artistic.  I feel my studio is also a place where you will feel safe, relaxed and able to be yourself.

We begin the session by looking at what lingerie, shoes etc you have brought with you and discuss the looks you are going for.  Having a professional hair and make up on the day of the boudoir shoot is amazing.  It really helps you look and feel your best and is the perfect way to calm nerves and anxiety, it’s also a the best time to get to know one another!  You also will feel more comfortable to  hand over control to me and trust that I will make sure you look your very best from the angle that I am shooting from.   I will lead you the entire way, I  don’t expect you to know what to do!

The entire session will take about 2- 3 hours between changing outfits, accessories and having your hair and make-up retouched or adjusted accordingly.
